How a military veteran became one of the most well-known criminals in US history.
1995 on April 17, at 9:02 a.m. in Oklahoma City, Timothy J McVeigh, 33, rented a Ryder truck full of homemade explosives and parked in front of the Murrah Federal Building.
He wanted a big impressive building to bomb.
The bomb went off, killing 168 people, sixteen children and injuring over six hundred civilians.
The Oklahoma City bombing is known as the deadliest domestic attack in the United States prior to September 11, 2011.
People who knew Timothy McVeigh stated he was likable, funny, and intelligent. He was the last person who could commit such an evil act.
But little did they know that McVeigh would be known as one of the evilest men in American history.

McVeigh was an all-American boy who was born in Pendleton, New York. He joined the army and serviced in the Gulf War. He was a model soldier and earned the Bronze Star and the Combat Medal for bravery in the Persian Gulf War.
